Without Joomla! my life would be completely different. With Joomla I learnt to love web development, and thanks to it I was able to take control of my life and direct it to where I wanted. Nowadays almost 99% of what I do for a living is Joomla related... so without Joomla at this moment my life would be a big problem :D.

I've spent countless hours contributing stuff to the Project in many different hours, and I can say it was worth it. I've met incredible people in the process, some of which are now among my best friends. Joomla not only changed my professional life, but also my personal life. Without Joomla I wouldn't have in my life some people who have done so much for me, and who I really appreciate and respect. Without Joomla my life would most probably be worse, because I doubt I could find people better than those anywhere else.

So happy birthday Joomla!. I really hope you'll live a long life, and that I'll be there to say happy birthday again when you are 20.

My life would be dull, boring, i would work 9 to 5 without excitement, every day the same trouble... Now I do none of the former... I work daily with Joomla!, in the community and for my own business. Joomla! is not just a CMS, it's a passion, it allows me to meet people all over the world with the same passion, it allows me to travel the world, it allows me to share my passion and knowledge...

Thank you Joomla!

I would have missed so many things that make my life a very, very good one so.

In the beginning I would have missed the chance to help other people in the german Joomla forums in my freetime. By helping them, I learned how Joomla and the web in general works and this enabled me to start my own business and earn my money with a thing I'm really, really passionate about.

I would have missed the chance to attend local and international Joomla events to meet people from around the globe - and I'm very proud that I can call a big number of them to be my friends.

I would have missed the chance to grow my own skills in various areas, I would have missed the chance to travel the world and maybe most importantly I would never have been part of something that changes the life of so many other people around the world to the better.

Happy birthday Joomla!

To be Joomla Grand'Pa since its origin has been a privilege.
Collaborating to a project allowing anyone all over the world to use that Open Source tool for free —in their language— has been extremely rewarding.
There are many special moments I will always remember and cherish: the first public launch of Open Source Matters obviously, but also the joy at getting a new Translation Team, the Joomla Days in France, in Italy, in Bosnia. The excitement at discovering that I could also create and patch the code. The day to day collaboration with many members of the Community to make the tool better and better for sure, but also, with some, to share a common vision of a better world.
Ten years of life without borders. Ten years of fun.

I love Joomla! and my J!Friends. Without Joomla I can never have great friends all over the world. Thanks to Joomla that I have friends in many countries. I have learned how to code from Joomla. I born in professional world by creating Joomla! 1.5 component and started involving and contributing in Joomla! since 2013. I can't imagine life without Joomla. Thank you so much to every person who has contributed and love Joomla!
