Without Joomla! I wouldn't be the same persion as I'm today. I learned Joomla when I didn't even know HTML/CSS well. Joomla has changed my life and help me to start my career and business. Joomla is still part of my life and living and I love Joomla! as I love my child.
I first found Joomla was in 2005, just when Joomla was a baby. Since then Joomla has been a partner and a friend, and it will be the same for a lot of years more. Happy birthday Joomla, we love you!
Here's to 10 more!
I first started to work on Joomla circe 2007 while I needed to build up webpages for the research project at the organisation. I was the web UI and front end guy at the organisation so that's prob the reason why I "get the job". Since that I have used Joomla (along with other CMSs) to build both small project and marketing sites, as well as experiment it with for to be used for larger archieving project. During the years I have found that open source community of Joomla is very friendly and supportive. Thanks. and let's keep Joomla open and friendly platform both from technical as well from human sid.
The second chance in life I needed might not have arrived at my doorstep. I met Joomla at a point in life where my former career in laboratory science was kicked to a corner because of health conditions.
Being unable to perform your main professional living was tough. Fortunately I was involved in creating web solutions for my governmental employer as a side task when I was unable to continue my main job.
This had introduced me to Open Source, where I had a good feel about these OS CMS´s arriving at the early 2000´s. With open source and mambo/joomla in particular a new chance in life appeared to me.
Started my own consulting business in 2004 and had full focus on Joomla from its birth. Making a living and making joomla live became a symbiosis to me.
Giving and sharing helped me personally, in building knowledge and in seing people "get it", and not least their appreciation in getting helped.
Pay it forward been a motto, and it is still a joy to share help and not least learn from other in the wonderful Joomla Community. Thanks Joomla and Joomlers for having given me a second change #jpositiv
